BEMER Horse-Set — How to Use
Practical session-by-session guides for the most common equine applications. All protocols use the B.HORSE blanket as the primary applicator; B.Eq cuffs are noted where relevant.
Daily Wellness
Full blanket: 10–15 minutes, 1–2× daily
Best times: post-training, evening rest, or pre-competition morning
Works over a light stable sheet — no need to remove rugs
Post-Exercise Recovery
Immediate post-exercise: 10–15 minutes full blanket
Repeat in evening after heavy workload days
Can run cuffs simultaneously on lower limbs for full-body recovery

Back Pain Rehabilitation
Based on King 2022: twice daily, 5–15 minutes, 3 consecutive days minimum
Daily maintenance after the acute phase resolves
Combine with physiotherapy and saddle assessment for full effect
Three days of twice-daily BEMER produced significant pain and biomechanics improvement in the published cohort study.
Targeted Limb / Joint
B.Eq cuffs: 5–15 minutes per limb or joint
Use for tendon, joint, or hoof issues
Can run alongside the blanket — the control unit handles both simultaneously
Perioperative (Vet Supervision Required)
Pre-op: 15-minute blanket for calming and microcirculation preparation
Intra-op: blankets under and over horse during anaesthesia (per Brandenberger 2024 protocol)
Post-op: 15-minute blanket during recovery — monitor recovery quality scores
Ongoing: daily sessions throughout hospitalisation and rehabilitation
Perioperative use requires veterinary supervision. Intraoperative application should only be performed by or under direction of a qualified equine veterinarian.

Intensive Rehabilitation Course
Acute phase: twice daily, 10–15 minutes, 3–7 consecutive days
Maintenance: once daily ongoing
Monitor: AAEP lameness scores, owner-reported comfort, thermography where available
